Gov. Ron DeSantis has appointed the person who will be responsible for preparing Florida for the environmental, physical and economic impacts of sea level rise. Thursday, DeSantis announced the appointment of Dr. Julia Nesheiwat as Florida’s first Chief Resilience Officer (CRO).
