Ygrene Energy Fund Announces Webinar on the Future of International Green ABS

Key topics will go in-depth on the state of the industry, developing markets and regulatory landscape

PETALUMA, Calif.--Ygrene Energy Fund, a national leader in clean energy financing, today announced it will join international finance leaders to present at the “The Future of Green ABS” webinar on Thursday, November 30 at 7:00am PST.

Recently, there has been increased activity of asset-backed securities (ABS) that have introduced new, low-carbon assets to the securitization market, such as solar leases and energy efficiency loans. The webinar will focus on key topics to inform this growing trend, including:

The State of the Industry

Solar and PACE

Developing Markets

Regulatory Landscape

Speakers include Mike Lemyre, Senior Vice President, Government Affairs at Ygrene Energy Fund; Rasool Alizadeh, Ygrene’s Head of Capital Markets; Huub Mourits, Global Head of Structured Finance at TMF Group; and Kathryn James, Senior Associate at Clifford Chance.

Hailed as one of the top 20 “world-changing” ideas by Scientific American Magazine, PACE financing is an innovative program that enables property owners to obtain 100 percent financing for seismic retrofits, energy- and water-saving upgrades, onsite renewable energy generation projects and, in some areas, hurricane protection and EV charging stations. Payments are made with property taxes and repaid over long terms, up to 20-plus years. Ygrene PACE financing is currently available in California, Florida and Missouri. Cities or counties who incorporate Ygrene into their environmental program can potentially help create more local jobs, stimulate the local economy, achieve mandated CO2 reduction targets and help constituents lower their utility bills.

Earlier this year, Ygrene Energy Fund was recognized as “Esoteric ABS Issues of the Year” by GlobalCapital’s U.S. Securitization Awards. The publication further recognized further recognized Ygrene’s GoodGreen 2016-1 security as “Esoteric ABS Deal of the Year,” highlighting the first-of-its-kind, AAA-rated, Green Bond-certified PACE securities as unique within the industry. Ygrene was the first PACE provider to ever receive this type of recognition.
